Rock island Premier sale is around the corner. The highest estimate in the sale is carried by a Winchester 1873 "One of One Thousand" 1st Model at $375,000-550,000. Other spectacular American firearms in the sale include a cased presentation Colt Presentation Colt Model 1862 Police Revolver and a  Walker's C Company Marked U.S. Contract Colt Walker model 1847.

Among  the sporting arms and a pair of Philippe Grifnee engraved Holland & Holland Shotguns, an engraved cased sequential pair of W.W. Greener side by side Shotguns in 24 Gauge and a massive Ken Owen "Owen-Rewa" 4 bore double rifle.

Military and class III guns include a Walther model MP semi-automatic prototype pistol, a baby luger prototype, a cased full automatic Colt, model 1921/1928 US navy overstamped Thompson submachine gun, and the finest documented US Singer Mod 1911A1. ANTIKVITY PRAHA, ANTIQUE ARMS, DECEMBER 2nd , PRAGUE

A fabulous percussion rifle by Nowak of Prague  is one of the select lots offer by Antikvity Praha in the sale finishing December 2nd. Other fine  firearms in the sale include an superb Italian flintlock pistol with chiseled steel mounts  by Guigno C. 1660 and a late 18th C  flintlock fowler by Hachenberger with a Spanish barrel, one of several  from the collection of DukeLobkowitz. A nice Blissett over and under pistol will also cross the block.
 
Among the edged weapons in the sale are serval fine rapiers and an early two handed sword C. 1600. An Austrian model 1768 saber will be sold as will a fine hunting trousse and Russian model 1827 French style saber. A wide selction of historical swords are offered as are several elements of armour

The sale also includes a selection of Japanese sword mounts, several Indo-Persian arms. A Saxon guild miners axe, and early crossbow, a superb chiseled steel horse muzzle, powder horns and several jailers key guns.

Auctions Imperial winter sale is being held November 25th in Las Vegas NV. As always, the catalogue is filled with a deep selection of Islamic, Indo-Persian, Caucasian and other eastern arms as well as more mainstream collectible arms and armour.  There is a very wide selection of shamshirs, among them a very fine Persian Safavid example.  Oher edged weapons include a good Polish Karabela, a French combination hunting sword pistol, poluwars  and kard, khanjar, and hancer daggers.

Among the early European lots is are a two-handed sword, rapiers and broadswords, several early helms and a very attractive fill suit of black and white armour, pictured.

Firearms in the sale include a fine pair of Greek Kompoura pistols with belt and holsters, a pair of silver mounted ottoman Kubur pistols, and Albanian tancchika musket, a pair of Italian flintlock pistols. A tapancha miquelet pistol and a Colt 1849 rocket pistol.

A rare Colt Berdan Russian Carine is one of the scarcer lots being offered by Amoskeag on November 18th.  The sale includes a range  of derisible lots including a rare factory engraved Whitney rifle, a Cot Burgess rifle, a super engraved and gold inlaid S&W single action army.

Military guns include a Mauser Broomhandle, one with holster stock, a large selection of lugers, Garand’s,,  a Russian SVT-40’l and a range of other WWII rifles and pistols. Among the many antique guns are a cased Colt first model dragoon and a British Georgian sea service pistol.

San Giorgio Aste’s next auction, is an online sale finishing October 23rd.   The sale includes two  a fine pair of cased  English Greener shotguns,  a cased pair of Italian pocket or traveling percussion pistols,  a flintlock eprouvette, an English pistol by Richards with spring bayonet and a Blunderbuss also by Richards with spring bayonet.

More affordable lots in the sale include Italian, French and British military muskets and pistols as well as swords, military badges and uniform pieces.

A 1st DC Cavalry Henry Rifle Captured by Confederate General Wade Hampton carries the highest estimate of $150,000 - $200,000 in Skinners Historic Arms and Militaria sale of October 26th. The sale also includes presentation swords, revolutionary war arms, a model 1875 U.S. trapdoor officer's rifle, an identified civil war surgeon’s kit, historical grouping and a pair of Woodward shotguns. Documents, awards and ephemera also are included in the sale.

A WWII flight jacket is one of several being offered in Donley tow day sale. The catalog includes a wide range of great WWII colletcibles and rarley encountered lots. Among the rare lots are a John 1941 rifle with bayonet, a cased Enfield no$ sniper,  a WWII US paratrooper jacket, and a Mauser G41.

Antique military arms in the sale include matchlocks, wheellocks, flintlock and percussion arms.  Among the most desirable lots is the Saxon military Wheelock pistol from the armoury of Augustus Elector 1553-1586, pictured 

Also included in the military guns are a range of 20th century handguns and long guns among them several late 20th C. military and police sniper and target rifles. Several civilian wheellock pistols will be sold including a matched pair and an very attractive ivory stocked puffer, Augsburg or Dresden, circa 1580. Also in the selection of pistols are cased sets, Viennese and German, as well as a fine Wender double flintlock rifle.

A section of early armour includes pauldrons, gauntlets, morions, cabasetts and north European close helmet C.  1600.  An attractive north Italian articulated breastplate and shield C 1580 will be sold also. Among the ended weapons are a Polish karabela, early polearms, smallswords, rapiers, a saxon miners parade axe, A Hungarian magnates saber, a very rare Italian “eared” dagger circa 1480, a schiavona, a Storta and several maces and war hammers.

German orders and militaria wrap up the sale with a selection of flags also being sold . A watercolor by Adolf Hitler with provenance is being sold among the20th century military and historical ephemera.



SWISS AUCTION CENTER, COLLECTOR ARMS SEPT 23RD

With almost 1000 lots  Swiss Auction Center’s next weapons auction on September 23rd will be of interest to collectors.

Among the highlights in the sale is are a large parabellum collection, with extremely rare items such as a the pictured Swiss Ordnance Parabellum Mod. 1900 "A" series, with the serial number # 5002A  making this the second to have been produced in a small series of only 100 pieces. In addition, another very rare early first variant Swiss Parabellum eidg. Ord. Mod. 1900, without milling for the flat magazine guide button will be sold.  Both guns are in excellent condition! There is also a large selection of modern shotguns, antique weapons, armour and militaria all at reasonable start prices bids.

AUKTIONSVERK STOCKHOLM ONLINE SALE CLOSING SEPT 24TH

Auktionsverk Stockholm are holding an online auction over the course of this week. It ends on Sept. 24th One of the top longarm lots is the Colt Mod 1855 revolving rifle pictured. Other longarms in the sale include a porter turret rifle, a Wilson London flintlock sporting gun and a good German wheelock rifle. Russian arms include  pair of military Cossack pistols.

Among the pistols offered several cased sets by Westley Richards, Probin and Nock. A four barreled flintlock revolver by Bass , London is also crossing the block as are several unique Swedish patent pistols, a fine Colt 1860 Army, a cased Wesson and Leavitt  and a military wheellock.

There are good edged weapons in the sale, among them a jeweled shamshir, a silver mounted saif, several yataghan, a very attractive Turkish dagger, a Swedish rapier circa 1600 and a  Scottish dirk. Unusual Items in the sale include, dagger and knife pistols, a cased aircane, crossbows and stonebows. There are just under four hundred lots  with a range of estimates to suit all collectors.
